Unfortunately the trade isn't going to happen. I just can't bring myself to part with my 1858.
That's like picking out which one of my kids would go live with the neighbors so the new born can come home. It just don't work that way!
I'm going to check my finances in the morning. Probably just buy the 1860 from him.

Cabela's has the 58 Sheriff on sale right now for $219.99 ($50 off normal) & free shipping.
The 60 Sheriff sells $279.99. I could be wrong, but I don't think I've seen Cabela's put the 60 Sheriff on sale.
 
I'm not sure how often Cabela's puts the Sheriff models on sale but I do know they do. It's the reason why I ended up with these....I wasn't specifically looking for them but I bought them because to me the price was too tempting. It's been a few years but the delivered price on them was $240 ($280 sale price less a $40 coupon) for the SS 1858 and $190 for the blued 1860. And, I bought them on the same day so they were on sale at the same time.

Hope it's still there for you when you get your gun budget funded and it's as advertised once you receive it. I always have a soft spot for a Model 1860 (and I'm glad you didn't trade your 1858 Sheriff for it)!
