Traveling From Mass to Nashville TN.

I am traveling by car from Massachusetts to Nashville, TN. next week and am concerned about bringing my carry gun across state lines, especially NY. I will be driving through uper state NY not the city, not sure if the same laws apply.

I have a Mass and new hampshire LTC which covers most of the states I will be traveling through, but, NY is my big concern.

Someone I know was moving back to Mass from Florida with his belongings, including his hand guns locked in a safe. He was pulled over and the officer asked if he had any firearms in the vehicle, he replied, yes I have several rifles and handguns in the safe not loaded, the officer asked him to open the safe and arrested him for the handguns, unbelievable.

I will not be going through the city like he did, but through upper state NY.

What's the deal if you know,

Never allow a search and never answer questions about what is in the car. Force them to get a search warrant. Once you give up your rights you are in big trouble.
