Sent my new Springfield Armory Black Stainless to the factory to fix a broken extractor. Asked about a trigger job and got this reply:
Cost to tune the trigger on the 1911-A1 to 3.5 lb. would be $195. This includes the custom tool steel hammer and sear installation, as well as tuning the trigger pull. Estimated turnaround time when the pistol is received in our custom shop would be approx. 4-6 weeks.
Looking for feedback from anyone who has had the work done. Other ideas as well. I have a couple local smiths who have done work for me, though not trigger work. This is my first 1911. Not sure I'm up to do it myself yet.
