I've Googled to no avail, and it's not in my manuals or on the powder mfg sites. Does anybody know the "trim to" length for .460 S&W?

Thanks in advance.

AmmoGuide shows a case length of 1.790 inches. Data.hodgdon.com also shows a trim length of 1.790 inches. You have to click the "Print" button on data.hodgdon.com to get all the specs.

Thanks! I did not know about the "print" part, and I've been using that site since it was new.

You should NEVER have to trim a straight walled case.

Incorrect.

I have once-fired Hornady and Starline brass with case lengths ranging from 1.788 to 1.815, and I have this crazy fetish for crimping into the cannelure on all of my .460 rounds - without having to re-adjust the dies. I shouldn't have to trim them more than once though.
