Just got my Harris S-BRM bipod to replace my cheapo $20 pod. I was pleased with the quality of the bipod and was glad to have bought it until i tried to preload the bipod from the rhinolined bed of a truck. The rubber nubs on the feet of the pod spun and rolled forward like wheels and did not let me have any preload at all. Anyone else have this problem? Know a way to fix it?

Yeah, I can turn mine freely, but I usually just turn the clamp-knobs down when it gets annoying. Like I said, I rarely get it, so I rarely turn the knobs. My bipod rests in the shortest adjustment (9").

I also saw some replacement feet and adapters that might remedy the problem, but they would probably set me back about $100 once I pay for shipping. If that is what I need to make the bipod work then I should have just bought an atlas.

Well, I have been known to improvise :D I will give it a shot tomorrow and see how it works. Thanks LJ
