True Velocity Ammo

It doesn’t appear to have gotten into the supply chain yet.
It offers NOTHING to most enthusiasts as it’s not immediately reloadable (though I doubt that, as the first offerings of nylon/aluminum hybrid ammo was... .38spl ammo though).
(Yes, I know the TV uses stainless steel case heads with a proprietary polymer body...)

It is said to reduce heat transference in semi/full auto rifles, so it may appeal to those high volume shooters that don’t reload.

I am however curious about the 6.8x51-TV cartridge the Army is developing for the next generation SAW and PDW. 3,000fps from a 20” bbl, w/140gr bullet. 3,300fps from SAW.
TV claims the new cartridge is backwards adaptable to the existing SAW with replacing barrel and magazines.
Interesting!
We shall see...

True Velocity's new 6.8 cartridge as part of the proposed NGSW program for the military is interchangeable with existing M240B not M249 saw. The 6.8 cartridge from True Velocity fits within the 308 envelope not the 556 envelope.

Jump to 3:18 to see the hot swap between 7.62 NATO to True Velocity's 6.8 in a M240B.

Explain where I said anything about the 5.56x45 ?.. is the M240B not a SAW?
I’m curious!
