My wife just bought a me a .22 for squirrel hunting. It was a new Tula bolt action with a 3x9 Tasco scope. The rifle has a free floating barrel and a fully adjustable trigger. I haven't shot it yet, but it seems to be a very excellent gun. I haven't been able to find very much info on it. Does anyone know anything about Tula rifles? I am looking forward to shooting my new rifle, and will let you know my opinion about it when I do.

Mine rocks! It shoots very nice groups with cheap ammo and it's never let me down. I'm sure you'll love it after a range trip!

what you have there is a very fine, very accurate 22 , for a heck of a price I might say. Did yours come with the 4 mags? i especially like the express sites on them, some gus dont like the extended mag well, but i think it actually carries quite well. it's accuracy again, will be very fine, and that rifle , along with the toz 78 goes for about 150 down here, in houston. Winchester bought them out, and it is now called the Wildcat, with a few refinements. But I don't think they sell theirs with the 4 mags.
I actually prefer the Toz version to the winny version. I don't think that the winny version has the express sites, but does have nicer wood.

I've had one since March of this year and I take it to the range every time I go out. It's accurate with iron sights -- got a little flip wheel for the rear sight thats graduated in meters and it's accurate. I had it out the other day to sight-in a scope and it was thoroughly enjoyable.

I've used every type of .22 lr I can get my hands on, including some Russian stuff that seems to be coated in some evil black gunk. Keeps on firing.

There are a couple of criticisms -- the finish on the rifle is pretty basic. You see that little black piece at the end of the forestock? It's painted, and you can see the brushstrokes on mine. Big deal. Have I mentioned that it's accurate?

The other ding I have concerns the magazines. You get four: two five round and two 10 round. I'm glad they're included because I don't know where I can get any replacements. The reason I'm concerned about that is because they're made out of plastic. Don't leave them where you can do damage to them, otherwise you'll be down to three magazines.

In all, I have absolutely no problem in recommending this rifle for anyone that wants to put lead downrange as cheaply and accurately as possible.

since the winny version is more refined, I suspect you could bet more mags from winny, but I do not know if they would be metal or not.
