I personally buy the 10-qt bag of Zilla lizard bedding at Petsmart. It's crushed walnut. It pretty much fills up the 4-gallon bucket that came with my Midway 1292 and leaves just enough room to get the media basket and shake out the current load. Cheap. I add NuFinish and after a whole bottle worked into the entire lot I touch up with deoderized mineral spririts.
I change it every year. In that year I tumble at least a 50 gallon barrel full of brass, though.
