I am just wondering about plinking ammo for 223 mostly. How many people don't bother chamfering and deburrig after trimming and throw the brass in a tumbler for a while to deburr? I have read about some people doing this but can't find a lot of info on it. I trim using a possum hollow trimmer in a power drill and think it would be easier to tumble after, I'm not loading for supreme accuracy.

I've thrown them in the tumbler after trimming and several hours later they still needed deburring.

It won't work unless you use a very agressive media, and thats too much wear on your cases.Just get your deburring tool out and go to work. Lightman

Corn cob or walnut shell will NOT remove the stuck brass filings. And a good chamfer and deburr will help the bullet seat and NOT leave brass shavings in your seater die.. Don't be lazy, just chamfer and deburr 'em.. Plus, they will probably chamber better without loose brass filings all over the place.
