I haven't gotten around to setting up a target range to do a report on the Nagant Pellet Model revolver from a month or so ago then this shows up. ;o) I need some hay bales, stat! This thing looks like a hoot and is incredibly weighty and comfortable in the hand. Full metal and with a lever for semi or full auto. 18 rds powered by CO2. Came with 12 Umarex cartridges of CO2 and 1500 Umarex BBs Apparently, you go through a lot of them ;o)

You will have fun, I've had one for a year or so. Probably the only full auto I'll ever have the opportunity to shoot.

On full auto it looks like the guns just slam fire with the hammer following the bolt down...but I've only got the semi-version so haven't been able to check for sure. Slowing video down makes it look like there is no disconnector and the 'fun switch' just drops the disconnector and lets it slam. This wastes a lot of gas and makes for a crazy rate of fire...which DOES kind of mimick the original guns which really ripped. I wanted to add one of the FA C-96's to the collection but they use a different magazine than the semi-only version, and combined with the lack of disconnector sealing the deal to not get one.

How is the faux blowback action? I looked at them but figured they probably rattle themselves apart after a short while.

I don't have that specific one, but I do have a 1911, and can tell you about that.

You don't get as many shots out of a CO2 cartridge as some of the gas must work that slide. I have the Tanfogilo 1911 and it is a very good copy of a 1911....it will fit in my same holster, the safeties are the same and in the same place.

I really got it to practice with....I also have a GSG 22 1911, but the BB gun is much cheaper to shoot....and the ammo was out there, I have a feeling we might be looking at another ammo shortage in a week or so.

It was pretty accurate, Pop can accurate at about 15ft.....I would say it is both a fun gun to shoot as well as a good practice aid for a "real" 1911.
