Today I look at and examine the Umarex SA10 .177 blowback pistol. I probably would have never bought one myself. It was a birthday gift from my oldest son.

I see them as great practice/training aids. I have a 1911 that has all the same controls as my "real" 1911's. I was using my GSG 1911 in 22 for practice, then 22 got hard to find, so I went to the BB gun. Fits in the holster, my shot timer will "hear" it, and it is much cheaper.
Plus they are just fun.
