I'm supposed to get my new spring kit from M CARBO today. Hopefully this will improve the pull to an acceptable point.

I mentioned on another thread that I had an extra scope I needed a rifle for. My problem is what to get. I know, right! Lol I've decided on .223/5.56 since I have a little put back. They're not easy to find. I'm down to a Ruger American and a Savage Axis. Axis is $100 cheaper and has great reviews but I'm still leaning towards the Ruger. Any thoughts?

Savage. I have 2 11s that are solid

I thought I should update y'all on my search. The Ruger and the Savage were both still unavailable. I found a gently used TC Compass at a fair price so I went for it. I'll have to say I've been pleasantly surprised. I got it tuned in at 100 yards and I think it's a good little rifle.
The trigger is pretty stiff but I have some new springs coming that should help.
Thanks for all the help guys!
In my opinion you got a better rifle than either of your other choices.

I don't recommend the MVP. It has issues with light strikes on hard primers.
Mine is extremely accurate. But I get more clicks than I care for.

My Axis rifles were even more accurate than the MVP. But the flimsy stock and heavy trigger pull had to be dealt with.
I've never shot a Ruger besides a number 1 and a m77.

I've got my new springs. I used the 2 1/2 pound spring at first and it was about 4 pounds when I put it back together. I went back and used the 1 1/2. It's about 3 1/2 now and much nicer than stock. I'm sure my groups will be a lot tighter now.
