I had put the wooden dowell back in not that long ago when I went hunting. Since I use this particular shotgun for mostly trap and 5 stand I had left it in. I have an aftermarket magazine follower that has different colors and a hole in the center for visual and tactile differences. Recently during 5 stand the gun was jamming on trying to get the second round to load. I initially thought I was short stroking the shotgun under pressure. I don't that that often so I was perplexed. When it happened again, I stopped and looked down and noticed that the wooden plug was poking through the hole in the mag follower. Simple fix. I just removed the wooden plug and all was well. It was an odd way for the shotgun to jam. Just passing it Lang.

Where is it written in the OP this is a tactical shotgun?

OP, my guess is that was just a freak deal that was prolly gonna happen sooner or later due to the hole in the follower.

A larger diameter plug would fix it, I guess, if you can get it in the tube (how big is the hole in the follower, anyway??). Or maybe a piece of pvc that is slightly bigger than the hole diameter or something. Sounds like you like your aftermarket follower, so eliminating that hole is prolly a no-go.
