I don't have any specific info on these shotguns, but it was very common in the late 19th and early 20th century that companies making inexpensive shorguns would stamp a run of guns with any brand name desired. Some were built in this country and some in Europe. Crescent Arms was a company in the US that did a lot of this. If it is truly damascus steel, do not even think of shooting it, or at least make me the beneficiary of your will. There is a good chance that it is not really damascus, as damasus steel was considered to be superior at the time and cheaper gunes were sometimes patterned to look like damascus.
I do remember something about Union Machine Tool guns being built by Crescent.
