I added a video to my original post but it fell off the front page so quickly and with so few views that I figured many people missed it. So I thought a new post was in order for those that asked for video.

This thing runs like a Swiss watch! I got a good one here. :)

My reaction after the first segment says all there is to say about letting loose with a full auto firearm.

I had two friends with me whose voices you will hear in the video. I left out the clips of them shooting as I didn't think they would appreciate me putting their faces up for the world to see. But we all got lots of trigger time on Saturday.

I spoke with the range owner today where this video was taken. He lives 3 miles from the range and he said his wife heard us out there shooting bursts! While we were shooting I was kind of wondering what this thing sounded like from a distance, and how far the sound carried. Well I guess I got my answer!

***EDIT*** Just thought I should add that this is a LEGAL machine gun. Purchased in full compliance with all NFA laws including FBI fingerprint cards, passport photos, and local CLEO sign-off for my Form 4.

Anyway, here's the video, enjoy.

Yea I saw the video that you updated in the first thread! very very nice.

Can anyone get a for 4 if they meet the following:

-Have the time and money
-Are an american citizen
-No criminal record

Or are they for very special people who know other people?

Just curious, man I wish we had a form 4 here in canada :D heh...

Getting a class III deopend on state law and the willingness of the local Sheriff to sign off on the paperwork. Then there's the cost of a transferrable (pre-86) M-16, which can easily run $10,000. Prior to 86, and transferrable M16 ran about $650.

Exposure, congrats on your toy. I should have bought an M16 when I had the chance, but I was in SMG land at the time when they were cheap.

Gun tech, that looks like the blaster the stormtroopers used in star wars! Is that a full auto as well?

brentn-

GunTech has a BEAUTIFUL Sterling there. A full auto 9mm submachine gun. Many think it is the finest subgun in the world. The MP5 guys are going to jump on me for that one. However, I am in the camp that thinks the Sterling is just about the finest pistol caliber machine gun ever made!

GunTech-

Congrats on a fine pair of NFA firearms there. The SBS is an 1100? Whatever it is, it looks awesome! The Sterling was way up of my list of guns to buy. I had it narrowed down to an UZI, a Sterling, or the M16. In the end the rifle caliber won out as I have a subgun already, and I really liked being able to have uppers in multiple calibers. But dang, seeing your pretty little Sterling makes me want one again so badly!

The shotgun is a Benelli M1 Soper 90 with a 10.5 inch barrel. The SMG is actually a PAWS ZX-5, which is an American made copy of the Sterling that uses the Canadian C1 trigger group. I like open bolt guns because they have near zero recoil.

I am jealous of your 16 though.

My next full auto is probably going to be a Vickers. I working on a guy who thinking about selling off his class 3 collection due to age (his). His relatives have no appreciation or interest in guns.

Here's a more recent pick of my two class 3s
