Hello, I have a Us Revolver Co break open pistol in .38 cal. The serial number is 6411. Can someone tell me the date this was manufactured and can it handle modern ammo.

I have never handled one, but was able to learn that your gun was probably made by Iver Johnson, and should be chambered for the .38 S&W (not special) cartridge.
