In my long and arduous search for a good drop down leg holster (or any good retention holster for that matter) for my CZ phantom I had almost given up hope. I'd looked at universal holsters from bds tactical, getting a standard CZ 75 frame for my pistol, and possibly taking a blow drier to some kydex.

Then I ran across this article:
http://www.tactical-life.com/online/combat-handguns/cz-usa-sp-01-phantom-9mm/
The author says that he used a safariland 6004 drop leg holster designed for a glock 21 and it fit nicely. I've read about people using holsters designed for different guns, but not on a duty holster.

While I know this is a long shot, has anyone ever done this or know someone who has? I'd prefer to get some supporting info before I take a $100+ gamble.

Thanks

Well, I decided to use my brain and went to the CZ forum. Yes, the safariland 6004 glock 21 holsters work well for the cz phantom. Not quite perfect, but they get the job done.

Hope this helps anyone with a phantom.

I have the SP 01 tactical. I've read about using a glock 21 holster a few times. Sounds like this is the path we might share.

The CZ forum website has a whole section dedicated to the SP01 and variants, with a thread dedicated to holsters.

I'd urge anyone with a SP01 or variant to check it out. Wish I had found it sooner...

Update: CZ's online shop now carries a serpa style drop leg holster for the Phantom.

I believe it comes with an attachment to be able to convert it to a paddle style holster as well.
