Someone I know has a G17 2nd generation that is in brand new condition. He bought it, put it in the safe and never shot it. He offered to sell it to me for $440. Is that a decent price for this kind of gun... I have no idea what they cost when they were new. What do you guys think? I offered to trade him for a CZ 452 FS rifle in 17hmr but he wants me to add some cash.

Basically trying to get an idea what this "unshot" pistol is worth. It really looks to be in new condition. I believe him when he says it has not been shot.

Heck I would jump on it for $440. My local dealer usually sells used Glocks when he gets them for $450. They seem to sell fast. I think he sells the new G17s for $509.

I think that you should not pay that much money for that gun. I think that you should send me his phone number tho. You cant find a Glock 17 new right now.;)

Yep two weeks ago distributer told my local dealer. Glock is currently behind on orders by 80,000 pistols.

yeah glocks are getting hard to find it seems, the only ones that i am seeing at the local shops are factory refurbs, and the stores rentals guns.

prices as far as the local shop near me is concerned. new $499ish, mil or leo, $469ish, factory refurb $425.

however if i wanted to drive to the glock leo dealer in georgia, i could get one nib for $398.20 plus tax with three hi cap mags. however that is a long drive, and i would rather just pay the little extra up the road. support the local dealer.

i just bought a glock 23, i pick it up this weekend, great condidtion, gen 3 with 7 high cap mags, xs big dot night sights.and a few hundread rds of ammo at a great price. can't wait to take it out.

I got a nib 2nd gen, never fired and not upgraded (black trigger/transfer bar)at the gunshow last week for $380 OTD. But if the dealer had said $440 I still would have gotten it. If this G17 is not abused or wasted it could be worth $440, I would prefer to get it for $400 OTD but others are correct Glock 9mm's seem to be in great demand and hard to find.
