I trust you are aware of the probable corrosive nature of surplus ammo & know how to clean accordingly?
Yes I am aware of that. I bought a case (2 spam cans) years ago when I bought my 91/30 and still have quite a bit left. I usually run some wipes through it, then follow with a heavy ammonia Windex bath down the barrel and a good soaking of the bolt while it's out as well. Is this correct procedure? Seems to work good so far.

I think I'll start reloading to 30/30 velocities one of these days just to make it a more enjoyable experience. Plus I won't have to worry about the corrosive primers that way either.
