Well I watched it as I try to make sure I watch all your vids. I just don't have any comments on most of them since you cover the topic pretty well.

I just found this thread today. For me it was a bit of an eye opener as I had not realized that what I thought was the original design was in fact the second generation. So I actually quite enjoyed it.

Also consider that you're posting this to a forum populated by a rather jaded audience.... :D I'm sure that this trio of vids will educate and entertain others that, like me, are still learning about the history of these firearms.

I had intended to post how beautiful your Custom shop black powder frame is, but I'll let another still from the video do it for me:

The new Colt's look really good! Much improved over previous 3rd generation guns. I was excited when they reintroduced the New Frontier and then disappointed yesterday when I found out they were not going to offer a 4¾" .44Spl.

I agree 100% on the bullseye ejector. Love `em on my Rugers too.

Do the new blackpowder frame Colt's not have the miniscule pinched frame sights?

Is this subject too humdrum because everybody is so familiar with Colt SAAs?

Should I stick to videos on less well covered subjects?

I would say, "no."

This is the place where well-informed but friendly critics will (if necessary) point out the good, bad and indifferent things about your work that can point you toward ways to improve.

As for familiarity, keep in mind that most of the time we have around 2 to 3 hundred members logged in, and 3 times that number who aren't members but are just visiting and following along. In all too many cases what both members and visitors know about the "old six-shooter," has been learned by watching western movies and T.V.

Enlightment can't hurt... ;)

Craig, No. The Sights are second Gen style...thank god!! My aging eyes have real problems with authentic first gen sights. I too am a .44 Spl fan. I have four single actions in that chambering.

To all. I really do appreciate and need the feedback. It is the only way I can improve the product.

A couple of my friends pushed me for do this for years and I resisted, but I'm in now, and I'd like to be successful at it. I have a long way to go, but by incorporating feedback from you all, I can see a real improvement in the videos I'm doing now, as compared to the first ones I made in April.

I'm only 36 with decent eyesight and can't get along with them at all! Got `em on a USPFA and a couple Uberti SAA replicas. Was gonna square the rear notch and install a dovetail front sight on a Uberti .44Spl Bisley but ended up selling it instead.

Keep up the good work!
