A fella wants to sell a vintage Bushnell Competitor 20X-40X spotting scope for $40 in the next town over. He tells me it's an older scope with a metal body, and that it works nicely. I hate to drive that far for something that might disappoint in the performance area, and I can't find much about the old model online. It's Japanese made, so I have some hopes it would be a good one. Anybody here able to tell me much about this older model? I know it's no Leica, but I'd love to know if that model is generally a good clear scope that would let me use it out to 100 yards to see .22 holes in paper targets. Help appreciated. Thanks. Don
