Any thoughts on the Volunteer Enterprises Carbines that look somewhat like Thompsons? I see one every now and then and look at them curiously. Any good? Prices? I see there are different models like the Commando 45, or the Commando V, or Commando Mk III. What are the differences.

Thanks in advance.

they were made in knoxville tn. i saw a few in a shop in tn. going for $250 to $300 range i was told they were very reliable.

I've seen a few. They are pretty crude in my opinion. Cast parts and kinda ugly welds.

A buddy of mine has one. He says he can usually go through two or three mags before he starts having problems. I don't know if it's because it starts heating up, or getting dirty, or what.
