My friend and I have been casting our own bullets and loading up plinking loads for our 357mag/38spl/38super double action revolvers. We have a ton of 148gr wad cutters ready to load and some 38 Super brass but I can not find any load info for wadcutters.

I understand that there is not room for much powder with the bullet taking up all of that room but we are only using 3 gr of Tite Group in the 38s.

If there are no loads, would it be safe to poke the bullet in the same distance of a semi wadcutter and crimp it?

THESE ARE NOT FOR A SEMI AUTO, WE HAVE REVOLVERS WITH MOON CLIPS, DO NOT POST ANYTHING ABOUT THEM NOT FEEDING.

Yes, it would be safe.

Lyman #49 lists a 147 grain FP with 3.6 Start - 4.0 MAX Titegroup.

The 148 is lighter, and the hollow base makes up for the added length
as far as case capacity goes.

Makes no differance.

3.0 is still 0.6 lower then the Starting load for a 147 grain FP.

If 3.0 will push them all out of the revolvers barrel, they would be safe.
