A friend has an Interarms Walther model PP in .380 caliber he wants to sell. He purchased it new sometime in the 1980s, but it is still unfired and in the box with the test target and manual. I've always wanted one of these, but he wants $750.00 and won't budge on his price. What do you think? Is his price realistic?

Yes, they are bringing that. Its not a bargain, but an unfired Interarms Model PP in .380 is a premium gun for collectors.

I have owned the Walther PP in the .380 and 32. Just personal preference, but I like the .32 on this platform hands down. Both caliber guns, used, very good - excellent condition, Manurhin (French) Walther(s) and their Interarms counterparts are going for between $400 and $500. The German guns bring a little higher price than the Manurhin(s), even though both were made under Walther license and most Manurhin(s) have Walther stamped on them.

Unless I was just wanting a collector piece - I would pass on it. Other side is there are no more Interarms being made and it will appreciate over time.

Be patient - I've seen a few on GB in the $600s. I also picked up a like new Interarms PPK/S SS in .32 last year for $400. Ivory grips came later...

Seems a little bit overpriced, especially for a PP. I think somewhere in the $600 to $650 price range woould be decent; maybe even $675 if you really want it.
