Obviously everyone has heard stories of the bottoms dropping out of the mags and it happened to one of our customers...
had a chance to look at it...literally the bottom fell right off, cracked all around like an egg...
I called Walther, they told me they are well aware of the problem. Evidently there was a bad lot of plastic made either by Mec Gar or a sub...they had been forced just to swap out mags for a while, which meant that there was a chance a bad one could be swapped for a bad one...cant ever tell just by looking..
However, they have thousands of new, properly made bottoms at this time. They are sending me six...if any of you have any concerns about your bottoms (ouch, double entendre), just call Wallther fer some new ones.
