I have a German Walther PPK. When I cycle rounds from the magazine the first two do not make it into the chamber. After that they seem to have no problem chambering. Is it a spring problem with the magazine or with the slide (or something else)?

1. Try a different brand/type of ammo.

2. Clean and lube the gun AND the magazine. Scrub the chamber thoroughly.

Still jams?

3. Replace the recoil spring with a new FACTORY weight spring. NO "extra power" spring.

4. Replace the magazine with a new FACTORY magazine. NO after market mags.

.380 or 32ACP?

.380s have feed issues unless the magazine is perfect, 32ACPs don't.

Thanks

it's a 32ACP.

Barrel and recoil spring were just replaced this spring.

I'll give the mag a cleaning and try different ammo.

Good suggestions all.

"Barrel and recoil spring were just replaced"

By WHO?
With WHAT?

Barrel replacement is touchy and there's a chance whoever did it did something wrong.

Legit replacement...

So I believe. It was done by Earl's repair. The barrel is a used factory german one and the recoil spring is new (i seem to remember that was not replaced with a heavy spring).

In that case, I'd cut to the chase and contact Earl's.

SOMETHING is wrong, and since Earl's worked on it, I'd let them troubleshoot it.
