From what I understand the AS model goes like this... first decocked pull is DA, follow up shots are AS, and then there's the option to have a short SA style trigger pull if desired while in AS mode. If AS/SA P99's have so many modes then what is the point of the QA? What's QA anyways?

The AS (Anti-stress) has three different trigger pulls.
The first is a standard, long DA pull.
The second - the "Anti-stress" is single action with a longer take up.
The third (and all subsequent shots) are single action with a shorter take up.
The idea of the AS is to give you some "margin for error" so that in a stressful situation you don't accidentally discharge with a very light trigger pull.
The QA (Quick Action) is a completely different animal - it's a constant pull trigger much like a Glock. It's the same for every shot.

A fellow Stafford resident says Hi.
I'd describe the QA as very smooth, almost H&K LEM trigger like. It resets short and fast. Personally I prefer it over the AS because the QA is initially long enough for a good safety margin.
