(I'm going to use ROMAK as the standard term in the post. I know they also go by the names PSL and SSG, but for ease of reading im just going to say ROMAK)

Hello all,
I was browsing around today and looking at what I wanted to get as my next gun, and i found a few pictures of the Dragunovs. I really like the idea of a semi-auto that fires 7.62x54R (mainly because i just bought so damn much mil-surp ammo for my Mosin that it would be cost effective for me to buy my next rifle that uses the same round). Looking around I've found that the Dragunovs are expensive and rare. But what i have also found is that the ROMAKS are not as much so, AND even better the parts kits seem to be quite available. So i figured that i could get one of these cool looking rifles, that fire the ammo that i have a ton of, and have some fun building one too.

Ok so here are my questions:

First of all any information, general or specific, any of you may have on building one of these rifle would be great.

Second whats the average price im going to be paying for a part kit and a reciever? And where would be the best places to go for both?

Third in the process of reading about building one of these rifles I came across a walkthrough guide where the reciever the guy bought was partialy complete and required milling the reciever and a lot of other machining work to be done. Is this the only way to get one of these recievers? Or can you buy one that is fully complete?

Thats all the questions i have for now. As with all of my posts thank you in advance for all the help : )

I think Military Gun Supply has kits and maybe receivers too. CenterfireSystems is another place to look.

I've kicked around the idea of building one, but too many other projects right now. Google, gunsnet, gunco, akfiles and akforum will all help.
