I am hoping to track down some basic information on this shotgun. I have other firearms in the safe for my use, however, this old shotgun holds sentimental value to me. It belonged to my grandfather who passed along to my dad. I believe it is a Steven's made shotgun likely mail-ordered. In addition to some idea on a manufacture date, I am also considering stripping the shellac (varnish) and using linseed oil on the wood. Thoughts?
