Warning Stickers

Lasers are required to have those warnings, courtesy of the Food and Drug Administration, who for whatever reason regulates lasers. Their Center for Devices and Radiological Health department has classifications for different types of lasers and those stickers are required by Federal law.

Most have some variation of this icon, then a statement about the possible dangers of that type of laser. Some are required to have the Class and power output as well.

Our government hard at work, keeping us safe from using toasters in the bathtub :)

So if your wife uses her gun for self defense and shoots a BG in his eye or eye's his Relatives "Since chances are a shot placed there will kill him" are going to sue her for trying to blind him with the Laser she used to aim with ?

Reminds me of the time I got hornswaggled into installing a Dental X-Ray machine for my dad, some 30 years ago....

I had to register with the FDA, which involved a form not too different from the 4473.

No questions about education, qualification, etc., or Felonies, either :)....

When the manufacturer vanished during a second round of repairs, the FDA's response was "yeah, we're looking for them, too...."

(The unit was sealed, more or less. About all I had to do was verify that the timer was reliable. And hang the thing on the wall.)

Regards,
