Ok this is weird question I know I way out of left field and I really into looking at stuff mainly guns and really more the line of shotguns and say how can you better make it,,

I was looking at the Kel tec bullpup shotgun with the 2 tube feeder and said hey that gave me a Idea on 2 auto-loader shotguns I would like to design and make ,, The First one is kind of weird but it has cool factor to it,,, I'm sure the ATF would come after me like a hammer seeing I'm having questions on the legal issue of making a semi-auto shotgun that's a side by side double barreled that can fire two shells with one pull of the trigger which would might come under the title 2 MG class or a DD which is not good or have two triggers system to get away from the DD issue or MG if there is one,,

But I would be using a two tube feeder under both barrels the action would be like a carbine design like the sks pulling the shells out from the top of the shotgun after firing and if the first design might be legal not sure thought of adding a selector switch to chose which tube/barrel I want to fire one tube or both at the same time I'm just thinking of away to redesign the old west side by side shotgun and make it a auto-loader,,,

I like my freedom would like to keep it but wise we had the right to make weapons of any designed because the guy that is working in the back of his garage might be the next guy to gives a future weapon for our military to use like the m1 carbine that was made by David Marshal Williams which he was a ex-inmate from prison or John Browning,,,

Because since the 1967 GCA and the 86 MG ban their hasn't been really not good design weaponry that have been made by individuals for fear of breaking the law of title 2 any GCA or 86 MG ban when government is in the way of new idea's we have gotten stagnation in a field of small arms design and see if you can make something better then the same old AR15/M16 platform or pump shotguns or auto-loaders by the big companies like Ruger Colt Mossbuger ,ect ,Sorry for the rant

My other design would use two magazines system to have up too 20 or 40 rounds or more depending on the gauge the shotgun in chambered in and make it very portable and easy to to shoot with 18 in barrel like the ps90 has in a bullpup platform for personal self-defense semi-auto shotgun,,I like the magazines system of the ps90 because it would be great on a shotgun because you can maximize the rounds you can carry with out a huge big drums I have seen on the AA12 gauge the saiga after market drum and there to bulky and hard to handle in a combat self-defense fight in the home or for LEO work,,,

I have a question on the law about home building your own stuff or say you design the firearm but you don't have some knowledge of how to work the metal in heat treating can you legally have say have a friend that might be a gunsmith help you on a firearm project without him having to be a C2 SOT or me a C2 SOT and keep it for yourself and never plain on selling said firearm for your own personal use without paper work from the ATF because I know that if you make your own guns and never sell them then its legal but I wonder if the law forbids anyone to help you in a project,

BTW anyone know if the big companies like Kel tec,,mossbuger might come out with a AR platform 12 gauge or 20 gauge shotgun,,I think there is a company called ATI making the 410 AR wish they would do a bigger gauge,,

Dude. Punctuation?

The ATF will not take kindly to your firing two shells with one pull of the trigger idea.

Other than that, it's your shoulder.

If I need that much firepower, I'll take a rifle, thank you.

so long as it meets standard barrel and overall length requirement and does not fire more than one shot per trigger pull its fine to build a gun at home

you'd need to have a system which directs the strike toward either barrel, not both at the same time.
Like a double barrel, it has one trigger, 2 barrels, and directs each strike to an individual barrel.
