Hmmm...Posted it, got an error.
Let's give it another try:

Was an ok experience this time around. This was one of the Suncoast shows here in Florida.
My Father asked Me if I wanted to go, He was interested in getting "another " car gun. Hee-hee, whatever it takes I guess. :D
More on that in a second...
It was the usual stuff. But, although it was mostly arms dealers/sellers, I noticed just a little more jewelry and other non-gun related stuff than the last time. Guess it's all over the country. Meh. Yes... jerky was present.
There were some pretty decent deals to be had, and some horrible cases of caveat emptor here and there. Saw some five-hundred dollar Glocks go for six-twentyfive/six-fifty, price not negotiable. Blah. Old, beat up, rusty mil-surps going for fifty to seventy five percent more that they should, etc.
Saw quite a few XD's, prices varied anywhere from four-twentyfive to just a little over five hundred. Not bad in some of those cases.
Noticed that many Springfield Mil-spec WWII's were going for the usual Mil-spec price of four-seventyfive/four-ninetyfive. Hmmm...not good. Saw those for three-eightyfive/four last time.
One dealer had a decent SAR-1 for three-twentyfive, nothing canted, decent. Although... He had one of the Arsenal inc. SLR series, I asked Him if He had any SAM-7/SAM-7's. Nada on that one. But...When I got to talking to Him about the Six-hundred twentyfive dollar SLR, He stated that they stopped importing them in '94. Huh?! '94? I thought these were current? :scrutiny: Anyone know about this? Then I saw His sixteen-hundred dollar norinco AK's and BEAT UP two-hundred and fifty dollar Yugo SKS's... I said thanks and walked on to the next table.
This one was fun. The usual AR's and bolt actions, but He did Have some of those Robinson Armament M96 Expeditionary rifles that George Hill has mentioned. Wow. Wowee, wow, wow! If I only had the money... It was going for about seventeen-fifty I think. It's Just...I don't know... it struck a chord with Me:D
Did'nt see as many CZ's this time. :( Just a couple of PO1's going for almost five-hundred(?) and some CZ 40's for two-ninety. One gentleman had a CZ 25th anniversary going for seven hundred...pretty, so pretty.

Got to look at a factory Rem 870 with extended tube and a Marine Magnum. Love those shotguns. Just screams QUALITY. Unlike the Chinese knock-off's next to it. Externally, fit and finish was great. Felt so good to Me. Guy had it tagged for three-fifty, but dropped the price to three hundred without Me asking. God I wanted that shotgun! Did'nt have the money though. Too many bills to pay for right now. He's at every show I go to, next time I'm coming home with one.
So, My Father finally settled on a snub revolver. He wanted a .357 Mag., Budget did'nt allow for a S&W. So I suggested the Ruger SP101. Nah, He wanted at least six rounds. "Are You sure?" I asked. "Yes, I am." He replied. So after some looking and handling, He saw some Taurii. In particular a 617 two inch in stainless. He liked the feel, He loved the seven round cylinder. To cap it off the dealer went down from four-hundred to two-ninetynine. They've been going for three-fifty/ three-seventyfive in town these days. That pretty much cinched it. He bought the Taurus. Picks it up Friday. Just have to get Him a holster and some speed loaders, maybe speed strips, and in it goes into service as a car gun. I'm just not crazy about the integral lock. Ehh...I'll get over it... maybe.

Have to go to the range first though... You know, "to test Her out" :D

uh..no..the arsenal slr series are still available-A friend of mine just bought one new in the box for 525 out the door.
