Westchester NY pistol permit

I've owned long guns all my life and I recently looked into handgun permits in Westchester New York.

Summary of application for home use only:

* pay $10 for the application and submit it back within a short time later
* Four references from residence that must be noterized
* Gun training
* Backround information release
* serial number of handgun you presumably own but do not have a license to possess
* Three duped application with pictures and prints

...and on, and on and on, and on......the package is 1 inch think!!!!!!

As far as a carry pistol license, the county clerk said, "don't bother filing an application, you will be wasting your time - nobody gets this."

I seem to recall there's an attorney in Westchester that specializes in acquiring permits.
May be easier to pay him.

Yeah it's a hassel. I never bothered when I lived there.
