Agree that more parameters would be helpful. All listed on poll are of reputed quality. My favorite 9 mm right now is a Sig P228--balances perfectly for me and feels great in my hand.
 
What 9MM

So you want a 9MM pistol yet you were fairly vauge as to the use of it. Is it for range, or CCW, or just HD???

Just to name a few. As for the RUGER SR9, I just got one for Christmas, and haven't had a chance to run her around the track yet, but if she shoots as good as she feels, she could be another to add to the list!
 
For shooting a lot AND pride of ownership: Sig 226, CZ-75, or CZ P01. All the others in order of my prefference are Glock 19/17, EAA Witness (A real sleeper!), M&P, Ruger, XD. For ergonomics, most find the CZs/EAAs to be the best! Don't buy a new pistol without handling one, you'll be doing yourself a disservice!!

I owned a G19, have a CZ75p01 and an M&P 9. I never shot the G19 well, but that was me not the gun. The P01 is a great compact pistol and you should be able to find many reviews and comments on it. I carry mine in the summer, I use to use it in IDPA, but had gone to a full-size CZ75b. The M&P 9 is currently riding on my hips these days. It wasn't even on my radar, but once I held and shot it I knew it was the one. I hope this helps, good luck in your search.
