As mentioned in my previous post a few days ago I bought a stainless steel S&W Model 686 6 incher and an H&R Model 905 which is a Double Action, .22LR 9-shooter revolver also in stainless steel.
(Both for $600 and I probably paid tooo much)
I took it out yesterday and the darn thing functioned perfect!
Shooting from a rest I found the 4 inch long, (.725" diameter) bull barreled wheeler to be accurate and consistant with Federal ValuPak 36gr HP, CCI 40gr HP and solids and CCI Stinger with no misfires. I think the firing pinless hammer strikes perdy hard.
D/A trigger pull is heavy but not long and is quite smooth.
Single Action trigger pull is also smooth but is a bit heavy and has noticable creep.
The stainless polished up to a bright finish useing IOSSO paste and soft flannel cloth.
The bull barrel has a thick solid or non-vented rib leading to a doved tailed front sight. Rear sight is elevation & windage adjustable. Given the features it seems to be a BullsEye gun.
I wanted to post a couple pics but something required to post pics isn't working.
I Googled "H&R model 905" and found nothing.

Anyone framiliar with the 905.
Comments, Info?

Thanks Again

Give it a little time & you will probably get some responses. If I recall correctly there were some members here that posted about having those some of those revolvers in another thread recently.

I can tell you it's not stainless.

H&R and NEF ( New England firearms, who purchased them later on) never made any stainless revolvers. They are nickel-plated, watch what you clean them with. I had a 605 once. Well made firearms, all steel, tough. Some can be quite accurate. I have a R92 that punches dime sized holes at 10-15 yards. Also have a 999 Sportsman that's just a tad less accurate.

The 905 is the nickle-plated (as KevininPa noted) version of the 904, which is a ribbed heavy barrel version of the 903 (9 shot, swing out cylinder and flat sided barrel).
Regards,
Greg
