What ballistic software?

Sierra Infinity 6 is a great program for external ballistics. Has other brands of bullets listed, not just Sierra's.

I have used some simple ones like shoot! 3.2 and point blank.

Point Blank is kind of cool because all the files are contained in the same folder with the executable. Gives good data. Not sure if it is open source or just free.

Afy,

For external ballistics, I like Point Blank. It's cheap (Free) and works quite well. The only internal ballistics program that I'm aware of is Quick Load. It costs several hundred dollars, and because of that I don't personally own it. I usually contact a friend who has it and ask him to run my data thru the program. It works really well, and gives you pressure readings for ever increasing charge weights and changes in OAL.

Quickload for internal, but you still need to check against loading guides.
The other internal programs are mostly 'automated' data books.
They interpolate between the values obtained from data books, not actually perform an internal ballistic model like Quickload.

Quickload and a chronograph can do a lot of things.

I am awaiting my copy... to begin playing with it.

I just hope it has the data for vectan powders... :)

Any experience with quick target?

Point blank is probably one of the best and it's free. Dallan, the author and owner of the site, is in the process of up grading his web site and point blank. So things are a bit confused at the moment. You know how that goes. But here is the website.
