Ok, for all you trap shooters out there, what choke tube do you use?

I get ribbed once in a while for shooting trap with my Remmington 870 Express synthetic useing an Improved cylinder screw in choke. i ussually shoot in the 23-24-25 range tho.

The little bit I shoot now, straight modified.
When I was shooting regularly, full on singles and handicap; IM and full on doubles. When I briefly owned a screw choke O/U, I shot IC and full for doubles.

Depends on the gun and the particular load I'm shooting.

At 16 yds, my BT 100 patterns best with AA factory loads using a Briley mod choke. When using STS factory loads, it patterns best with a Briley IM.

My 870 patterns best at 16yds with an IM choke regardless of load.

For handicap I step up to the next tighest Briley choke for each.

I also use an 870 w hogue stock, but with a modified screw in on a 24" barrell for closer targets, FC for doubles and longer distances. Sometimes I like to bring it ninja style with the tac light, sling and 18" IC fixed barell to shoot wobble trap, if you can hit anything with this setup, then either shooting trap with a decent setup is easier, and it is nearly the best training you can have for SD uses. Most of the folks shooting the tricked out O/Us kind of make fun of myself and 1 other guy that goes about 6'6" and 300lbs, but always uses a cheap wal-mart junior 410 single shot break action, At first it looks hilarious, but when he runs all 25 people kind of just stare at their shoes. The funny thing is that he has a custom bt-99 sitting in a safe at home, but likes to practice with a handicap, and then busts the bt out for matches.
