I have been reloading pistol round for a few months so I have most of the tools needed. I want to start reloading .223 for my Mini 14. If I buy the Lee Pacesetter set which contains:
Full-length sizer
Bullet-seater & roll-crimper
Factory crimp die
Shellholder

What other dies do I need? Should I get the the neck sizer die?

Everything you need is in the box.

You already said the set contains a Factory Crimp Die, so there would be no need to buy another one.

For that matter, you don't even have to have that.
The seating die will also do the crimp when you seat the bullet.

And nobody says you have to crimp at all.

You need to FL size for an auto-loader.
Neck sizing will not work so hot.

Thanks Rcmodel. I was copying and pasting and didn't intend to have the crimp die in the second question!! But, you answered my question anyway Thanks.

You don't need the neck sizer for the Mini 14. What press are you using? You will need a case trimmer, chamfer/debur tool, a way the swage primer crimps on military brass, case lube and if loading on a Lee turret a rifle charging die and double disk kit.

A scale, a Vernier Caliper, and a powder measure would be needed. It would also be good to have gauges to see if your size dies are doing what they're supposed to.

Lee Bullet Seating Die Crimp Style

There are two crimp shoulders in Lee's bullet seating dies. The first shoulder applies a slight taper crimp and the second shoulder applies a full roll crimp. The closer the die is adjusted to the shell holder the heavier the crimp will be.
