What Do You Actually Know about GOA?

While I believe that "Shall Not Be Infringed" means what it says period and Arms in this case means everything that can be used as such from Virus to Atomic Weapons I am for some common sense prohibitions (assuming the Constitution is amended to allow such) such as a prohibition of private ownership of atomic weapons.

To me that means I'm not an extremist as I'm.willing to allow the Constitution to be amended for common sense restrictions. Likely could get me on board for restricting chemical, bacterial and viral weapons as well.

While I am an NRA member I realized when they sold automatic weapons enthusiasts out to get the Gun Owners Bill of Rights that they were willing to crush the minority to get any perceived advantage for the majority. After all it's all about the money (at least at the administrative level).

"Infringed," not "abridge." "Abridge" is what you do to novels like WAR AND PEACE so you can read them in one lifetime.

Edited to correct.

Sorry, brain got ahead of my fingers.
Considering glaciers move faster than I type that happens often.

I'm actually surprised it wasn't something like infgtib inhgrd...

I'm no keyboard artist myself.;) Plus, I've had spellcheck take perfectly good words and change them into correctly spelled words that were contextually nonsense. If I'm lucky I catch it, or the website offers an edit function.

How about the Supreme Court does its job and eliminates all the infringements put on our right to own firearms. That is where the war needs to be fought.

I am a Life Member of the NRA. I have been a NRA member since 1965. I would join GOA in a heartbeat if I felt them worthy.

Instead the GOA seems to be competing against the NRA as top dog. Instead of becoming an ally to the NRA and joining with them in the common cause they are presenting themselves as a "Better Choice" or "Competitor" to the NRA. Heck with the NRA they say. GOA is better. To me the GOA are vultures circling the NRA. With out the NRA they would not even have a reason to exist.

The GOA needs to lead, follow, or get out of the way. GOA's posturing around the NRA, for me anyway, just doesn't cut it.

Actually that war depends on us as SCOTUS bench make up right now may not ensure a definite pro-gun/2A ruling of cases headed to the Supreme Court.

Whoever wins the 2020 presidential election gets to nominate Ginsburg replacement and any other retiring justices the next 4 years along with all the federal district and circuit court positions. So our war is to vote in the next POTUS and as many pro-gun/2A law makers at state and federal level to facilitate the SCOTUS and POTUS.

Wait a minute. A constant refrain from Washington people is that the NRA did NOTHING to stop Washingtonians from emasculating their gun rights. I now have to wonder which is true.
You heard from people that don't know what they are talking about. It is usually the same people that have done nothing to help the cause, they only try to backstab the people that are in the struggle.
