What gun for a bug out bag?

What gun for a bug out bag? I'm putting together a bug out bag for the first time and i'm wondering what sort of guns yall would recommend for THAT PURPOSE ONLY. Will a pistol suffice or should i pack a survival rifle as well? Give me some ideas to steal!

You're going to have to define what you mean by bug out bag and what you expect to have to face. Most of these threads are unrealistic fantasy and won't last past the first couple of posts without that information. Remember that a BOB is a 72 hr get out of trouble pack and short of a local map, water, power bars, sneakers and a poncho and space blanket don't actually call for a firearm.
