Nope. Sorry. Not going to make it that easy for you. :)

Black Lab, poor fella, scratching like crazy with looks of:
1. Help me.
2. I sorry for running down that way and finding fleas.

Black Lab's owner, lady I know was doing the one foot hop, slap leg , scratch and <expletive> FLEAS!

"Yeah mom, that is what I have been trying to tell you <scratch>" Lab.

Black Lab is going to the Vet (don't say this too loud, he really really likes flirting with the girls, being made a fuss over) to get a trim, bathed and dipped.

While he is having a good old time, Lady and I set out flea bombs.
She snags some guns, and we set off bombs, and leave.

Me, I just show up with a CCW. I just show up and if I choose to shoot, shoot what is handy.
I mean if y'all want to dirty up your guns, and have to come home and clean, fine.
Me, I hand back dirty guns and don't have to deal with this stuff. :)

<taps head> Mentors raised me right. I have turned into my Mentors.

I was not planning on shooting, actually just piddle and assist some folks , still I did shoot a bit.

"Ya know, with the flea bombs, and all the clean up, I may have the carpet steam cleaned" - she says.

This is a sure fire way for a guy to pull a shot.

Steam Clean + Guys = miss.

Amen!

Thanks guys, I knew you would understand.

<think Steve think, you are good at thinking on your feet>

I slap a mag in and
"Hey, you know so-n-so said she and her kiddo have a steam cleaner on loan and I bet the kid would like to make some spending money with school starting!

Applause!

Thanks guys, we gots to stick together on this stuff.

Oh heck yeah, the kid is all for it. Some of the other kids we know, want to help, they too could use a little money.
They are good kids, and have done stuff like this when one of our bunch was down, sick and did not charge a thing.
When they do, they don't charge enough...

We finish and head run by the Vet.
Black Lab has been bathed and dipped and has this goofy grin like he got a date with the Captain of the Cheerleaders.

He told us how handsome he was, we did not have a chance to tell him he was.

No trim. Vet had an emergency and well ,got to looking and teeth cleaning time, do the nails , and some other piddly stuff, and one of the Assistants , young and cute -
"Would you like to spend the night?"

What a dumb question. :D
Black Lab went nuts, goofy grin, just a flirting and carrying on and ...he is "boy" and "boys" just act certain ways around gals, especially the one that stuck a new yellow bandanna around his neck.

We will miss the Lab, he ain't gonna miss us. He has a date with a Cheer Leader and going to spend the night! :p

House get steam cleaned, all cleaned up, Lab gets teeth, trim and nails done, probably fed grapes and fanned too...

Q. What gun for fleas?

A. Bomb the suckers first, then whatever gun and ammo is handy works just fine.

:)

Bombs dont work.
Went through the "No dont use brand X, use brand Y, dont use brand Y use brand Z.
I nuked my house from orbit doing triple the dose of all brands.
Final solution: Nightlite, cookie sheet, water mixed with a lil Dawn Ultra.

Then I picked em off with my SOCOM from 300 mm out

I notice sm is on a roll tonight.

Take a lesson from Mom's mom. 20 Mule Team Borax. Clean white powder, ecologically friendly, harmless to pets and small children. Absolutely deadly to fleas, ticks, ants, roaches... you name it: if it's got six legs, and it's somewhere you don't want it to be, sprinkle a little borax around and sweep / vacuum up the corpses...

Blackie will probably enjoy a monthly squirt of Advantage between the shoulder blades, too...

Fleas... Never had to shoot 'em, but flies and other soft bodied minutae,

BB gun, spring plunger.
No BBs
Wad of tp or paper towel lightly soaked in your most handy petroleum lubricant.

Follow up with 1/2 tsp or less of sand and fine gravel.

Fine tune size of wadding at patterning board.

PS, not recommended for use with fine adult airguns.

Soakers, handloader since age 8.

K9 Advantage/advantix. When we moved from the Rocky Mountains at a mile high (no fleas) to the California coast with our dog many years ago, there was a surprise waiting for us in the grass -- many, many fleas. I shampooed. Lots of dead fleas. As soon as she went outside, there were more. More shampoo, more dead fleas, more outside to dine on the little terrier.

I was getting ready to send her back to the mountains to save her from the little vampires. I was chatting with a friend who had done the same move a few years before I did, with more dogs, and told him I was going to send her home, and he just told me to get Advantage and forget about the fleas.

He was right. Anywhere she went, fleas died. No fleas in the house, none in the yard, none on the dog. Took maybe two days, tops. Kept her on it the rest of her life.

Now, we're in AZ. Back to a decent altitude, thank goodness, but there are still ticks and fleas, and I have a Brittany. Advantix keeps them all away, no bombs.

Doesn't kill ants, though... Thinking about that Borax idea.
