What happened to the SL-8 and USC?

Did HK stop making these guns altogether, and if so why, or did they just run into an import problem? If it's an import problem does anyone know of any plans for the new HK factory that they are supposed to be building in the states to make these guns? I've liked them since they came out, but the prices just keep going up up and up! :(
 
Think they were killed by lack of demand. Only 10rd special Hk mags fit them if I remember right.

People just didn't want to pay that much for a 10rd gun I guess.

I don't hold hope that the new factory will change things. Didn't do a lot for FN.
 
Those guns didn't sell much because they were expensive, crippled by 10 round Klinton mags, and ugly as sin because they were offered in a politically correct color only.

If they came out with a more G36-like black semi rifle people will buy plenty of them.

I concur with the rest of the guys...I handled one at the gunshow in G-Boro several years ago...Didnt do anytihng for me..

I have heard that you can convertit to use 30 round Grease Gun mags..But I dont know if that is true or not...

If they were about $500 I would prolly have one of them..
