No, I am not trying to sell it here. Don't know where else to post this. Please move if not OK here,

I have some Russian Silver Bear that I want to sell locally.
Yep, those same Russians
Mommy bear, Poppa bear, Baby Bear
Golden, Silver, Brown Bear:) (when ammo was CHEAP!)

No longer have a gun that will shoot it.

No I am not selling it online, please don't ask.

There will be at least 2 of us following this Thread.

I still have one case (minimum) of that exact ammo from a couple of decades ago ... as well as a pair of EXC-VG condition Bulgarian(?) Maks in which I had originally planned on shooting it.

Now I have an excellent reason to retrieve those from the South gunsafe and give them some exercise. ;)

that I want to sell locally
That sets the metric. How popular is the Mak in your locale? How many Mak owners in your locale got caught short on loaded ammo? Are there any locals who are buying local and selling online to make a profit who might want to buy your ammo for a quick flip?
The answers to those questions will determine the value of your ammo.
BTW: I recently went through the same situation with 7.62Tok - I sold my last Tokarev pistol and had a bunch of ammo left that the buyer of the gun didn't want. I sold it locally to a gun store that also sells online. I made about 5% above what I paid (after inflation) and he marked it up another 10% (+S/H) and it all sold in a day online. Of course, from that 10% he had to pay his employees to take pictures, post it, follow the bids/buys, contact the buyers, pack it and pay the online service's fees so, he didn't exactly make a "killing" but it was probably worth the effort. YMMV.

I have checked several online sites and it is around .50 to ,60 cents a round

GeoDude I wish I had known you were selling a Tok.:) Was it a CZ or one of the others Yugo, China??

Chinese commercial model, with the safety and commercial markings. I sold it to a buddy who's wanted one since he was a kid (I've known him since he was a bun in the oven;)) for $250, with three Chinese commercial magazines and six boxes of Romanian surplus (brass case, boxer primed, bi-metal copper-washed bullet) ammo - the 72-round packs in the brown carboard and waxed-paper boxes. His kids are loving it so all-in-all a great deal all-around! :)
He didn't want the old Norinco steel-cased, corrosive ammo I had, or the Chinese mystery animal hide holster (which I suspect is made from Nauga's ;)). The stuff in the flimsy yellow boxes with red lettering. That went to a pawn store owner I do some business with who sells online - mostly AA, I think, I'm pretty sure he's not on GoneBroker - for $12/box of 60. I paid $5/60 in 1990, still had the price tags on the boxes, and the inventory tag from the store I bought them from. I never even bothered opening them. That Romanian ammo was spicy! :)
