I was recently given 2 pitstols that my friend found when he cleaned out his grandmothers house. One i believe is a 1905 model S&W 38 the serial number is between 158000 and 160000 also this gun was stored many years ago loaded and I am having trouble opening the cylinder any hints? The other gun strongly resembles the S&W but is much smaller and is a 32 cal. it say "made in Spain" on the right side of the frame between the cylinder and the trigger guard. It also says "USE U.S. STANDARD AMUNITION" on the top of the barrell. The trade mark is faded and either says ALBA or NPI or NPI or something like that. Their are numbers on the butt I think they are 68-04. I would appreciate any help on these models.
Thanks,
Jim

The S&W does not break the cylinder swings out. I can't send out pictures yet maybe after Christmas if my kids love me. Ha Ha.

The second gun has a "ALFA" trademark. Any info at all on the 2 guns will be appreciated.

Greetings! Welcome to the High Road!

There is a revolver-producing company called Alfa in the Czech Republic. They have a contract with CZ now. Does your revolver resemble any of these?

Hope that helps. You can also track down info by using the "Search" engine, located in the green band at the top of your screen. Reccommend you choose "Advance Search", and run your search specifically in the revolver forum.

One thing I've found helpful in asking questions: the more detail in the title, the better chance it'll be noticed. So it may help to post a new thread labeled: "Cylinder stuck on old 1905 S&W 38, help!" and "Info on "Alfa" .32 revolver?" That way folks who know about those models are more likely to find your post.

Hope you get your guns up and running soon, you sure are lucky in your choice of friends. Welcome aboard,

-MV
