Village People cop arrested in San Diego
By Joe Hughes

SAN DIEGO – The man famous for being the singing police officer in the Village People band was arrested by San Diego police Thursday.
Victor “Macho Man” Willis, 55, was taken into custody on Judicial Drive in University City about 4 a.m., after a woman called police to report a man had choked her, put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her.

Willis was taken into custody without incident, San Diego police Sgt. Jim Schorr said.

When officers arrived on Judicial Drive, they found Willis in a car and a woman outside. She said she was his girlfriend.

She told officers that Willis had been abusive.

The arrest is nothing new for Willis, who has been in trouble with the law in the past. Last March, San Francisco police pulled over Willis on a routine traffic stop.
At that time, he gave them a fake name and police found rock and powder cocaine in his car. It wasn't until Willis was fingerprinted that police learned they had arrested the performer.

San Diego police didn't have that problem.

“Our officers recognized him,” Schorr said. “We knew we had the cop from Village People.”

Willis was booked into jail on suspicion of assault. The woman was not hurt.

What is the Law Enforcment world coming to? :neener:

I know he was not a real police officer. I just wanted to make light of things as it seems that Chicago's police beatings have been in the news as of late.

Well, Tecumseh, you seem to have reached a new low in your continuing effort to share with us news stories about bad cops, drunk cops, assaultive cops, thieving cops, etc. This guy isn't, and never was, a real cop; certainly there's nothing here to merit a thread in this forum.

Lighten up, he was joking. You're the only one taking it seriously.

"Macho Macho Man" and booze... or other euphoric type stimulants which tend to intensify their personalities, often cause legal problems for themselves and personal problems for others affected.

Probably better to hang out at the "Y.M.C.A." or enlist "In The Navy" keeping away from the mind altering stuff. (did I effectively cover all of their V.P. hits for those of you in the know?)

This is SOOO not L&P.

GIBBSTOWN, N.J. -- An off-duty police officer is suspected of driving under the influence when his Jeep crashed into a South Jersey home early Sunday, police said.

The crash was reported at 12:45 a.m. on East Broad Street in Greenwich Township, police said.

Preliminary investigation showed that the 2000 Jeep Wrangler was traveling west when it left the roadway and struck a street sign, a parked vehicle and then the side of a house on the 100 block of East Broad.

Kevin Villanova, 34, a Greenwich Township Police Department employee since 1996 and township resident, owned and was driving the vehicle, police said.

Villanova was taken to Underwood Memorial Hospital for treatment and was later released. Police said they suspect the crash was alcohol-related, and blood samples were taken at the hospital for further analysis.

No one inside the home was reported injured.

An investigation into the crash as well as an internal review was under way, and charges are pending, police said.

This guy isn't, and never was, a real cop;
I suppose you could make the same claim about that brave woman basher, Officer Abbate of the Chicago PD... of course you could ALSO claim with equal validity that he was upholding the highest traditions of the Chicago PD... only this time he had the misfortune to be caught ON TAPE beating a White woman...

Hey guys...did we have a full moon lastnight and I missed it? People are particularly irritable here. Let's get back to The High Road.
