Last time I checked, the M1 carbine drove a 110 grain bullet at 1,900 fp/s.
A .357 Magnum, on the other hand, shoots that out at about 1,300 fp/s.
Lack of stopping power? I'm thinking not .
I know that's not exactly the best comparison, but I have a hunch that the .30 carbine's lack of stopping power is a misunderstanding.
