Derek is correct about the increase in accidents. The bad part is that they're of the "whiplash" sort.

An article from England said that while the revenue is enormous, it's more intended for anti-terror and general surveillance than for traffic. The traffic fine angle made it an easier sell to local officials, some of whom might otherwise give a hoot about privacy.

Coincidentally, my local bank now has a sign up that "for your protection, please remove all masks, hats and sunglasses before entering."

I recall that being a common request around Halloween in some areas.

And either IL or OH? It's illegal to wear a mask in a bank.
