what to buy

I am looking to buy a gun for the first time and I would really appreciate if someone would recommend what gun would be the best for me.
I need it for target practice. There are probably a million factors to look at when buying a gun but any suggestions would help. A friend of mine recommended buckmark CONTOUR 5.5 URX. Thanks for the help
 


shares mags with and shoots darn near as well as a S&W 41 at 1/3 the cost. buy used with or without adjustable sights.
 
The first two things to start with which will 'sort' the field pretty quick are: (1) What do I want the Gun for, What am I using it for?... and (2) What's my price range, What do I want to spend?
Answer those two first, and the 'hunt' begins...

How well do those S&W mags do in your Trailside? I would prefer to buy them over those plastic ones from Sig. By the way, that's nearly the same set-up I have on my Trailside. Mine has the absolute lightest trigger pull I have ever found on any target pistol I've owned.
