I have a bunch of old ammo in calibers I don't use anymore, having switched over exclusively to the .45acp for my pistols.

So. What should I do with old ammo? None of my friends use the .40, .45LC or the 9mm which is what I mostly have.

Is it legal to just throw it out?

How much

... do you have? I might be interested, depending on where you are, etc. PM with details.

If factory loads...TRADE, TRADE, TRADE!!! Never "throw away" ammo...there is always someone who would trade you something for it.

I live in Denver Colorado but am relocating to Florida, about an hour north of Tampa in Crystal River.

It's not a LOT of ammo btw, here's what I have:

1 Box of Independence .40SW
2 Boxes of Winchester 300WSM
1 Box Speer Gold Dot .38
2 Boxes of PMC .38 spcl
1 Box of Remmington 30-30
1 Box Black Hills .45
1 Box Corbon .40

I'd rather get rid of it than haul it cross country.

I'll bet that you will find someone local that will be happy to pick it up. If not, you will definitely find someone willing to pay for shipping.

I would be willing to pay for shipping, but a bunch of others were ahead of me.

As I would love to have it. (I only shoot some of it) I'd trade the rest:) I also live in NC (originally from CO:mad: ) If you can find someone to trade with that would be your best bet. However, if you want to give it away I will pay shipping.

I'm in the Army and just moved from Denver and miss it! I have a friend in Denver that would be happy to pick it up. He can probably do it this week. PM me and I'll call him.

He can use some of it and ship me the rest.
Thanks.

LeadCounsel: As an active duty Army guy you get first dibs (that's the patriotic and right thing to do, right guys?)

I live in Lafayette, about 20 minutes north and west of Denver near Boulder.

I'm in the process of moving, so if your friend can pick it up that would work best for me. Otherwise I'll just keep it and give it away when I get to Florida.

Let me know if he can pick it up and I'll PM you my contact info w/ address.

Thanks for the service!

Thanks,

I've got an email into him right now. I should know within the hour. He lives in Denver and works in Commerce City, so should not be a problem for him. he'll send it to me.

Thanks again!

No, thank YOU.

I'm about to run out on a few errands, but will look for your PM when I get back.

Thanks again.
