+1 on helping him by lending him the binocs I always have in my range bag. Talk to him and assess his skill level. I met a guy at the range with a newly bought SKS. I had to show him how to load it :what:, and sighted it in for him. Now when I see him at the range he insists I put 10 or 20 rounds down range.:D

I would've done the same as sunny. Go home early.

Not me...it is a 45 minute drive to my range...too much time invested and gas burned to do that.

I would have told him to bring another gun to shoot while he is waiting to go check his target or told him to use a better contrasting target...if I had some, I would give one to him. Seeing hits on white targets at 15 yards should be easy for anyone who has good enough eyes to be shooting.

After the first few times I would have told him that I'd been considerate, now he needs to be also and ask him to let me get a few more rounds downrange before he calls cease fire. Action and discussion from there would depend on his response.
